Royal Doulton Mr Pickwick Dickens Series 'E' Low Relief Jug c1939

 

A lovely Royal Doulton Dickens 'E' Series Ware jug modelled in low relief and featuring Mr Pickwick with an unnamed character, the reverse showing a serving maid. The glaze colours used are in lovely deep rich hand painted tones.

 

In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration.

 

Royal Doulton lion backstamp and date code for 1939, Reg'd in Australia and the pattern number D5833.
