Elliott Black Chinoiserie Three Train Bracket Clock
A rare black Chinoiserie decorated three train bracket clock by esteemed makers Elliott of London. The case profusely decorated with garden scenes, maidens, pagodas and floral motifs, the brass dial with angel spandrels and silver chapter ring with roman numerals, surmounted by a cartouche marked Tempus Fugit and marked Elliott London, Made in England.
The three train movement which has eight chimes and sounds the quarters, can be set to either Westminster or Whittington chimes. In addition to the strike/silent lever on the right front face of the clock, there is an automatic feature which turns off the chimes from 11pm until 7am.
This clock is in virtually 'as new' condition with only very minor blemishes to the case. The clock is currently undergoing a full service in our workshop and will be available shortly.
This clock would complement both contemporary and traditional decorative styles.
