Alvaro Almaguer is a Cuban visual artist, painter and print maker. He graduated in 1979 from the EMCC school in the Cuban province of Holguin. He has had personal exhibitions in several respected galleries in Cuba, as well as in Europe, including the exposition “Alvaro’s” in the Human Gallery in Canada and “Estado de transe”, Artur Bual in Portugal.   He always signs his work 'ALMER'. He works and lives in the heart of old Havana where he has his studio and art gallery.

Alvaro creates stunning modern art compositions that have been judged to be some of the finest contemporary art coming out of Cuba.
