An Art Nouveau Brass And Copper Clock

This exceptional clock of impressive proportions was manufactured circa 1900, the French two train movement with outside count wheel, striking the hours and half hours on a bell, with maker's mark of P.R to oval cartouche and numbered 3108.

The pointed arch square section clock case surmounted by a female mask. A brass chapter ring with Arabic numerals set within a pierced brass case backed with hammered copper work, a cut lime green jewel to the centre front, three green glass squares to each side, with cast flying buttresses and a flared base embellished with three moonstone cabochons.

This iis an exceptionally fine and rare clock and an excellent Designer statement piece.

This clock has been subject to a total overhaul and is in excellent overall condition.

​

Despite extensive research I have been unable to identify any other clocks of a similar design, size and quality.
