Lenzkirch Art Deco Brass Mantel Clock Circa 1885

A rare Lenzkirch AGU 1 million Art Deco brass clock.

 

Movement number 694724. Circa 1885.

 

The brass case with reeded corners, wooden caseback and eight square beveled glass windows set below the white dial with black hour and minute hands, Arabic numerals and outer one minute track.

 

Chimes on the half hour and hour.

Lenzkirch are widely considered to be one of the best German clockmakers.  This is a rare case and is the only one of its type that I have ever seen finished in brass.
