Antique English Bibliophile Book Lamp, Circa 1890

A beautiful English late 19th century table lamp, the base, modeled as two leather bound books titled 'Alfred The Great' and 'Goldsmiths Poetical Works'.

 

The shaft leather bound with book spines.

 

In nice condition with only slight fading to the leather on the top book.

Re-wired with gold silk flex.

​

Currently wired for Australia.

 

I have 2 identical lamps if anyone wanted a matched pair.
