20th Century Chinoiserie Two Train Mantel Clock

A highly decorative English two train break arch Chinoiserie clock, circa 1920. The front and sides profusely decorated in relief with colourful Chinoiserie scenes of court ladies, pagodas and landscapes, on ogee brass feet.  The top with brass handle and brass finials to the front corners. The silvered engine turned face with Roman numerals and steel hands, with brass stepped bezel.

 

The two train French movement stamped 'AI 32278', striking the hours on a gong.

 

This clock is in overall excellent condition  - the case has been cleaned and waxed and the movement has been serviced by our qualified Horologist.
