A decorative French black Chinoiserie clock, circa 1890. The break arch case with brass pilasters to the front corners surmounted by brass finials, the unmarked enamel dial decorated with roman numerals and surrounded by a decorative gilt bezel.
The front of the case decorated in relief with a Chinoiserie panel showing maidens in a garden with pagoda and weeping trees, the top decorated with Ho Ho birds, the sides with a round topped panel with lattice and star pattern, mounted on brass bun feet.
The two train French movement stamped 12478, with outside count wheel and chiming the hours and half hours on a single gong.
The case has been cleaned and waxed, the movement has been serviced by our qualified Horologist. The clock is in excellent condition commensurate with age.
